As an independent, worker-owned Black media cooperative, we center Black life, Native voices, and all communities under threat of digital erasure through authentic storytelling, community journalism, and live cultural coverage that inspires and connects audiences across the diaspora.
In the Wake TV is an independent Black media platform and digital equity movement, uncompromising in our mission to center Black life through powerful storytelling—news that matters, community voices that inspire, and live coverage that connects us all.
Rooted in anti-colonial, and cooperative principles, we challenge mainstream media's erasure of Black, Indigenous, and marginalized communities. We build infrastructure for digital liberation, transforming streaming technology from a tool of corporate extraction into a platform for collective storytelling, cultural preservation, and community power.
We stand in solidarity with Native struggles for sovereignty and representation, rural communities fighting the digital divide, and all movements resisting technological and cultural erasure.
