IN THE WAKE TV is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $25,000 grant from Press Forward New Jersey (PFNJ) to launch the Willingboro Hyperlocal Stream: Narrative Equity Launch.
This grant is part of a major $570,000 regional investment across 13 South Jersey news organizations, led by Press Forward New Jersey at the New Jersey Civic Information Consortium (NJCIC) in partnership with the Community Foundation of South Jersey and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

What This Means for Willingboro, New Jersey
The Willingboro Hyperlocal Stream is dedicated to expanding access to trusted local news and civic information. Through investments in broadcast infrastructure, field gear, local staffing, and community outreach, we are bringing hyperlocal coverage directly to residents across digital streams, audio podcasts, and social media.

Starting November 1, 2026, our coverage will focus on four main pillars:
- Civic Information & Government: Clear, accessible updates on town council decisions, school board updates, and municipal budgets.
- Community Voices, Black History & Equity: In-depth spotlights on local minority-owned businesses, neighborhood leaders, artists, and organizers.
- Youth & Schools: Dedicated reporting on student leadership, school achievements, youth sports, and educational programs.
- Essential Resources: Practical updates on housing rights, public health alerts, community events, and local services.
We will also host quarterly town hall pop-ups to hear directly from residents and create space for community storytelling.
"Access to reliable local information is essential to strong, informed communities. These investments recognize the important work already happening across South Jersey while providing organizations with the resources they need to grow, innovate, and reach more residents."
— Lisa A. Sahulka, Executive Director, New Jersey Civic Information Consortium
